Megan Weathers Certified Yoga Instructor -RYT200
Megan Weathers's experience with yoga started as a young wife and mother with twin babies. Stress, anxiety and exhaustion were taking her over. She saw a picture of a woman doing yoga on a rock in Utah, and was inspired by quiet strength, grace and peace. She started practicing yoga 15 years ago, and her path led her to toward a calling to teach. Megan was trained and certified in the Hatha tradition from local teachers John C. Stierwalt, Dale Morphew and Shelly Happel as well as many others throughout the country. Each class Megan teaches is meant to be a journey through physical poses to experience balance between breath, stillness of mind and awareness within your body. Megan's prayer is that yoga will give you a greater understanding of how quiet strength and grace can take you off your mat and into the greatest version of yourself.

Salima Grannon
Certified Yoga Instructor, RYT 200
I started practicing Hatha yoga with a teacher’s guidance in 1999 because of health reasons and the desire to connect with my spirituality. I was amazed how open and relaxed I felt after the very first yoga class. I began taking 3-4 classes per week, eventually attending numerous yoga, meditation, chanting and pranayama workshops and retreats over the years. My journey took me to the styles of yoga that made me feel strong but calm and connected to my inner self. I am a Yoga Alliance certified 200hr instructor. I was trained at the Lotus Pond, a Kripalu affiliated studio with Karen Stephan (Iyengar teacher) as Director.
I was influenced and trained by teachers in the Iyengar, Anusara, and Kripalu traditions and I try to infuse these styles in my teaching which includes alignment, mindfulness and breath.
My desire is to help my students develop strength and stamina at their own pace; to feel the connection not only to the body but to the mind and spirit and to practice opening their hearts to all there is.
Other credentials include: Registered Nurse CPR Instructor

Ellen McKay
Certified Yoga Instructor - ERYT200
I believe that yoga can help anyone and any body type find peace and happiness in this world. Through yoga you can learn to relieve tension in your body as well as your mind. You will breathe lighter, move more freely, and learn to let go of the stress that life can bring your way. Yoga will also help you gain muscle tone and burn calories with no high impact to your joints. Through my practice of yoga, I have learned the importance of listening to my body and staying in the moment. Yoga has allowed me to grow in ways I never thought possible.

Lynne Houshmand
Certified Yoga Instructor - RYT200
My yoga journey started in 2007 when I began private lessons seeking a way to safely bring physical exercise into my life. At that time, I was experiencing chronic back issues related to several back injuries and progressive degenerative changes. As a result of my regular practice, I began to notice physical improvements including increased energy, strength, flexibility, and muscle tone. Additionally, my back health improved, as I experienced better ability to move with less episodes of re-injury. As my relationship with yoga continued to grow, I witnessed many other positive changes in my personal life. I discovered that the benefits of yoga extend beyond physical improvements, and actually provide a platform for overall wellbeing that includes the mind, body, and spirit. I experienced more balance in my life, a greater sense of wellness, and much better management of stress. For me, my introduction to yoga was truly a life changing experience that continues to this day. As a regular yoga student, I sought to deepen my personal practice, so I enrolled in the teacher training program offered at Serenity Stream. As my journey with yoga continued, I felt called to bring the knowledge and experience I gained from my mentors and personal practice to my community. It is my hope that I can help others benefit from the practice of Hatha yoga as I have. I strive to offer a well-rounded class experience designed to strengthen and improve over-all flexibility while maintaining careful attention to alignment in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Tracey McPherson
Certified Yoga Instructor - RYT200
My journey into yoga began in 2006 as I began the spring term of my senior year of college in Washington, DC as I found myself in the middle of preparing for my vocal recital which was a part of the requirements for graduation. It began as a girls’ night out with a good friend and slowly became a process of self discovery. My practice became a regular part of my life when I found the Serenity Stream family and I was thrilled to be accepted as part of the first group to go through the teacher training program. It is my goal in class to not only share what I’ve learned on the mat and off, but to provide students with a safe environment for their own self discovery.

Angela Ross
Certified Yoga Instructor CRYT200
Angela began practicing yoga out of curiosity over 14 years ago. The peace and the physical benefits she experienced during that time grew into a desire to share her love of yoga with others while growing in her intimacy with Christ. In 2010, she earned teacher training at Yahweh Yoga, the world’s first Christian Yoga private post secondary education college. Her Christ-Centered Yoga classes begin and end with a time of de-stressing and relaxation with gentle flow postures in between. Each student is encouraged to develop strength, mobility and peace in their own practice. Throughout class students are guided with Scripture reading, Christian music and prayer. “I look forward to sharing and growing with students in this amazing journey.”

Suzanne Woolems
Certified Yoga Instructor ERYT200
I first discovered yoga for myself in 1994 when I picked up a video by Erich Schiffmann. I was drawn to the physical benefits but eventually came to appreciate the increased levels of awareness, focus and stillness in my mind and spirit. I incorporate movement, breath, and meditation in a way that provides a supportive and relaxed environment for students to practice at their own levels of physical strength and flexibility from the gentle beginner to the more advanced practitioner. It is my goal to guide yoga students along the path of self-acceptance and self-realization that occurs both on and off the mat. I hold a certification in Vinyasa Krama from Dragonfly Yoga Studies in Fort Walton Beach, FL and am registered with Yoga Alliance at the 200 hr level. I continue to study yoga as therapy with instructors Laura Tyree, Swami Jaya Devi Bhagavati, Doug Keller and JJ Gormley-Etchells (a dedicated student of TKV and Kausthub Desikachar and the Krishnamacharya Healing Yoga Foundation). In my daily life, I am an elementary school teacher and mom.
